Economic Benefits

It is estimated that a $300 million capital investment will be required to develop Sagamore Crossing. It is estimated that the proposed project will:

  • create 1,211 construction jobs over an 18-month period, with a total annual payroll of $52.8 million and an average annual wage of $43,599,
  • indirectly create an additional 762 jobs throughout the state economy with a total annual payroll of $33.8 million.
  • it is estimated that Sagamore Crossing would generate $413 million in annual gross gaming revenues, $72 million in non-gaming revenues, and total gross revenues of $485 million.  Those revenues will generate taxes of approximately $135 million for distribution to the state of NH, the Town of Hudson and the Boston to Nashua commuter rail system.

  • it is estimated that Sagamore Crossing would generate 2.0 million visits annually,

  • Sagamore Crossing will create 2263 jobs at the facility and will indirectly support and induce an additional 2,612 jobs throughout the region’s economy.  (These job figures are FTE.)  More than three quarters of the jobs will be full time with benefits.

  • The overall job quality for the resort hotel, convention center and casino operations will improve the employment levels and will improve the quality of jobs in the region.  Average earnings will be about 20% higher than wages paid in similar operations now in NH.
