Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sagamore Crossing Golf Resort & Convention Center?

Sagamore Crossing Golf Resort & Convention Center will be a 375-acre destination hotel and golf resort located in Hudson, New Hampshire. Sagamore Crossing will feature a 300 room luxury hotel and spa, 18-hole championship golf course, and 50,000 square feet of convention and meeting space. Sagamore Crossing is located along the Merrimack River and will also offer recreational water activities that the public will be able to access and enjoy.

Will Sagamore Crossing include gaming?

If the state allows expanded gaming, then Sagamore Crossing will also include gaming space with video lottery terminals, table games, restaurants, retail shopping and entertainment.

How many jobs will Sagamore Crossing create?

Sagamore Crossing will create approximately 1900 jobs over the 18 month construction period. The average annual wage of these jobs is $43,599.

When Sagamore Crossing is operational it will create more than 5000 jobs with an average annual wage of $38,935.

How will Sagamore Crossing Golf Resort & Convention Center benefit the state and the region?

If gaming is approved, Sagamore Crossing will generate significant economic benefits to the region and the state, including new jobs and tax revenues. Upon licensing by the state, Sagamore Crossing will immediately pay $50 million. These monies will help alleviate the $500 million deficit facing the state.

Once Sagamore Crossing is operating, it will generate approximately $200 million dollars in revenues to the state and towns. In addition, communities within 10 miles from Sagamore Crossing, including Hudson and Nashua, will receive a percentage of the revenues that will help offset budget pressures and reduce taxes of property owners. Sagamore Crossing will also provide a percentage of revenues to be used for operational costs of commuter rail for the Lowell to Nashua line.

Sagamore Crossing will help boost tourism. In fact, a well respected economist predicts that more than 80% of the visitors to the resort will be from out-of-state.

How will this project impact local traffic?

For a resort destination, 90% of the traffic will come from the interstate highway system to the west (Route 3). A traffic interchange will be constructed that will provide a direct exit and direct access to the Sagamore Crossing property. As a result, there will be very little impact to local traffic.
